Back in March (I'm really on top of this blog thing huh?), the boys did a science experiment to see what floats. They collected about 20 items and we made a chart. They predicted what would float and what would sink. Then tested their predictions. 
Second we tried again with salt water but got less than fascinating results. We discussed our failed salt experiment with a science teacher and were told that never works. You need an EXTREMELY high concentration of salt (we kept adding more but never got there apparently). Someone should tell that to the science experiment book writers.
Still, we had fun and I'm sure they learned something about density.
