What We Did:
There were 4 families (9 kids) involved. H created a grid on a large sand pit in her backyard and buried a "treasure" in each square. Each child was assigned a square, handed a shovel and brush, and directed to carefully excavate to find their treasure. They found letters which spelled the word archeology.
